» VORARLBERG HIKING GUIDE

“Trained guides are represented by regional representatives on the committee of the Vorarlberg Mountain Guide Association. Evidence of qualifications is required by anyone wishing to act as a guide. Vorarlberg hiking guides are identified by their official badge or licence.” (Source: www.bergfuehrer.at) In autumn 2011, Martin Stock completed his training with the Vorarlberg Mountain Guide Association to qualify as a Vorarlberg hiking guide. The course consisted of two modules (one week in Rätikon and one week in Silbertal). The qualification entitles him to act as a guide for hiking groups throughout Europe. In December, he will be heading for Hochmontafon to supplement this training with an additional qualification as winter hiking guide.

» Trailer for the DVD “Clades Variana 09”

In June of last year we documented the “Germanic Tribe and Roman Days 2009” in the Kalkriese Museum and Park near Osnabrück (D) from the perspective of the players on behalf of COMITATUS (network for historical players and groups focusing on ancient Germanic culture around the time of Christ’s birth). The planned DVD was recently completed and holds many memories of a sensational event.

» Conceptual alliance ritual goes YouTube

We recently uploaded a 10-minute documentary clip onto YouTube (search: “mashart01”). The footage shows an alliance ritual experimentally conceptualised by conceptual artist Martin Stock – staged with several well-known museum reenactment groups (Chasuari, Hermunduren, Projekt Sueben) in June 2009 at the “Germanic Tribe and Roman Days” in the Kalkriese Museum and Park near Osnabrück (D).
