Organizers: „All people, regardless of nationality and culture, regard earth as their mother and as origin of all life. This as motto for 2005.“

Organizers: „In many languages, there are expressions like ‘down to earth’ or ’ ‘stay on the ground’ and ‘to come back to earth’. What it all means is reflecting on the essential – on simplicity. And this joy of simply ‘being’ and ‘being simple’ can be felt during the Gymnaestrada. But earth also stands for our planet, for all continents and their inhabitants, for people, animals and plants – in other words for nature of which we all are part of.“
