The basic idea of a Alamanns museum town is in various respects unique – not only in Vorarlberg.
During the hours of operations and at all events visitors should be able to immerse themselves in the live of the Alamanns of the 6th/7th century in Vorarlberg. The museum town should make possible a detached, interactive introduction of the historical roots, the culture and the identity of the Alamann population.
A „Grubenhaus“ is currently being created in Mäder (on the grounds of the Brühl playground) by the „Society of Alamanns Culture and Traditions“ on a site which has been made available by the town of Mäder.
