The Artist Group LändleX of Vorarlberg

LändleX is a group of artists which reside exclusively in Vorarlberg. Prerequisite for participation in LändleX is a team spirit and a high quality of work. The X stands for the variable and open number of members. Not all artists have to participate in each exhibition.

The group examines the mystic act of transitioning and the power of renewal, taking into account several aspects of cultural history of the old and the new world.

- aspect „Celts” (Beltane)
- aspect „Teutons/Christians” (Walpurgis Night)
- aspect „Modern Man”

RED stands as a visible sign continuous wish of man for renewal, strength, joy, sensuality and life... but also the extreme vulnerability of the physical body.

With this exhibition the group examines, in an unusual way, the religious theme of the nearing Christmas celebration. Christ, the child as a regional symbol of resistance against the expanding Americanization, reduced reflection of the birth and the suffering of Christ as well as interpretations of the meaning and the path of the free man in following the path of Christ.

Under the slogan „Art and Commerce“ the newly founded artists group brought to fruition together with the HOVAL company, their first exhibition titled: „Vorarlberg – Land belonging to the Alamanns“.The goal was to bring into a common context the products of the company and the works of the artists. We tried to find a common concept to bring together the two partners in the event: the „Alamanns“ became a synonym for the capability of the local man within the technical and commercial area.
