VORARLBERG HIKING GUIDE
In autumn 2011, Martin Stock completed his training with the Vorarlberg Mountain Guide Association to qualify as a Vorarlberg hiking guide. The course consisted of two modules (one week in Rätikon and one week in Silbertal). The qualification entitles him to act as a guide for hiking groups throughout Europe. In December, he will be heading for Hochmontafon to supplement this training with an additional qualification as winter hiking guide.
“Trained guides are represented by regional representatives on the committee of the Vorarlberg Mountain Guide Association. Evidence of qualifications is required by anyone wishing to act as a guide. Vorarlberg hiking guides are identified by their official badge or licence.” (Source: www.bergfuehrer.at)

MASHART – ALAMANNI OF RHÎ-EMS, CULTURAL ASSOCIATION
The Hohenems-based association focuses on historical presentation of the Alamanni who settled in today’s region of Vorarlberg as early as the period 550 to ca. 610 AD (i.e. during the Merovingian period). The association can only be seen at museum events or at specially developed camps with schools and children’s groups from other associations.
As the name already suggests, a very close collaboration exists between my organisation and the association.
INCENDOS (2005-2010)
Impressions of our customer events (INCENDOS): In 2005 the theme was “Canyoning”, in 2006 “Paintball”, in 2007 we went onto the Bregenzer Ache with the “Canoe”, and in 2008 we had the “Farmers’ Olympics”. In 2009 we met up for a “Bowling Competition” and finally, in 2010, we went up into the Tyrolean Mountains on horseback.
Art and Cultural Projekts - Martin Stock (mashART)
Since 2001, conceptual artist Martin Stock (mashART) has also been active in the area of “museum reenactment”. “Alamanni - a Norn play” was a musical created in 2004, which was performed with great enthusiasm in the Hohenems-Unterklien quarry. Since 2005, Martin Stock has been researching and working on a multimedia stage play about the Alamanni. Individual scenes are staged jointly with various reenactment groups at different museum events.
