Conceptual alliance ritual goes YouTube

We recently uploaded a 10-minute documentary clip onto YouTube (search: “mashart01”). The footage shows an alliance ritual experimentally conceptualised by conceptual artist Martin Stock – staged with several well-known museum reenactment groups (Chasuari, Hermunduren, Projekt Sueben) in June 2009 at the “Germanic Tribe and Roman Days” in the Kalkriese Museum and Park near Osnabrück (D).

This is the first of several planned contributions from a total 8 hours of HD film which Martin Stock recorded during the performances in and around the recreated battlefield in the Museum und Park Kalkriese for the participants who took an active role in the event (organised through the COMITATUS Network).

While the two videos which provide an artistic interpretation of "All of us" and "Peer Gynt" from the conceptual art exhibition "move" held in 2007 have both been available on YouTube since November of last year, the video works "Nur einmal" and "Dein Klon" can be viewed exclusively on the mashART website. However, the music video "Um jeden Preis" from VORHOF2 is expected to be placed on YouTube in the foreseeable future.
